Free equuip4learning online training courses

Results from the industry and education survey we conducted in November 2019, identified a need among people within the industry for short industry specific online training.

Based on the research results we have now established equuip4learning - an online learning tool to deliver short industry specific online training.

The first phase of the project is a pilot programme and will offer five short online modules to gauge interest, participation levels and importantly to gather feedback to assist in determining the future direction of equuip4learning. The initial courses will be offered to all licensed trainers and/or a designated member of your team.

The modules are:

Digital marketing (2 Modules)          Duration: 15 minutes for each module

Module 1 - Novices: This is a basic level digital marketing training module for those who have little or no current online presence.

Module 2 - Champions: This is a digital marketing training module for those who are active on social media and perhaps have a website.

Equine welfare                                   Duration: 20 minutes

This is the first in what we hope will be a series of equine welfare modules and will give an overview of the key principles of equine welfare and identify welfare strategies.

Safeguarding                                      Duration: 20 minutes

This is the first in what we hope will be a series of modules and will outline the measures required to protect the health, well-being, and human rights of individuals, which allow people, especially children, young people, and vulnerable adults, to live free from abuse, harm, and neglect.

Key learning outcomes of his module:

  • The importance of safeguarding
  • How you can keep people safe in your yard/business
  • The types of abuse
  • What to do if you have a safeguarding concern
