2025-10-13 Leading thoroughbred stud in Kildare requires a foaling attendant / night watch person for the upcoming 2026 foaling season from January until June, where we will foal approximately 70 mares. There is the option to stay on afterwards and work with yearlings or another area of the farm. Duties will include monitoring the mares and calling the foaling manager to assist with the foaling in a timely manner and then postpartum care of the newborn foals, which will stay on the barn until the following day. Other duties will include some mucking out, turning mares out and general duties. Accommodation will be provided on the farm and hours of work will be from 7pm until around 6am the following morning. Only candidates with suitable previous experience foaling thoroughbred mares and with references should apply.
