Equuip Education and Training Grants are designed to financially support individuals seeking to upskill in their current role or to prepare them for new opportunities. Whether you work in a racing yard, a stud farm, a racecourse, or sales house, you are eligible for the grant programme. Our programme also welcomes all jockeys, both professional and amateur.
The main accreditation body in Ireland is Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI). For details about QQI and the various levels on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ), please click here. Equuip Education and Training Grants operate on a reimbursement basis. Applicants will need to apply, enrol, and pay any fees due for their chosen course. Equuip then reimburses a portion of this fee upon submission of the completed application form below.
We are delighted to offer the HGV/Box Licence Grant to assist you in developing skills to advance your career in racing. Where you have identified and signed up for your HGV and/or Jeep and Box driver training, you may apply to avail of the grant. Subject to availability and the following criteria:

The subsidised HGV/Box Licence Grant will operate on a reimbursement basis. Applicants to the programme will be required to apply and pay any fees due for their driving lessons/permits/theory test etc themselves. Equuip will then reimburse part of this fee upon submission of the relevant application form and evidence of enrolment and payment in the form of a payment receipt and newly acquired HGV and/or Jeep and Trailer drivers licence.
